For local restaurants suddenly deprived of customers, support from patrons can can spell the difference between surviving the pandemic and closing their doors forever. Here are some ways to help make sure your favorite local eatery is still around when the crisis is over.
Buy a gift card
Business owners say they appreciate the gesture both as a sign of customer loyalty and for the immediate infusion of cash that gift cards provide.
Below is a temporary online list of local restaurants put together by the City of Gaffney and created by BGEN that provides information on places that still offer pick-up as well as delivery services. Shop for other merchandise, like t-shirts and tumblers, too. Ask restaurants if they’ll consider selling perishable food items that they have in stock but that might no longer be available at grocery stores or online retailers. It could be a win/win for both of you.
This is by no means an exhaustive list. If your restaurant isn’t listed feel free to use the listing tool to add it to the list. We will try to keep this up to date, but with businesses changing how they operate on an almost day to day basis, this list may be incorrect. We encourage you to use the business website links provided or call to make sure they haven’t made additional changes.
